Everytime I draw and paint, I am in another world.
Because of Appledore, I pick up my sketch book, drawing pens, paint brushes and all other materials I can get my hands on again. I start making arts after a long break!
My first visit England was in the summer 1998. As part of that trip, I came down to the West Country and was drawn by the landscape, quality of light, architecture and history of that part of the world. My work includes pen and ink, silkscreen printing, digital print, watercolour, oil, acrylics, mixed media on rice paper, paper, board, cardboard and canvas. My inspiration is viewing England through an oriental eye and applying traditional Chinese techniques to present a unique view of England’s architecture and her beauty.
Fu loved to draw and paint when he was a kid. He received his first painting award in primary school when he was 12; though that drawing was drawn with the help of his brother! He dreams of living in a farm house near the sea. By the way, he has put on weight and he blames the English food.

Landscape & Cityscape
All works was inspired by its breathtaking landscape, enchanting quality of light, rich architecture, and profound history. I am constantly exploring the interplay of texture and color. Each piece I create reflects my connection to the land and space, inviting viewers to experience its beauty and spirit through my art.

Still Life
Each item, whether it be a worn-out mug, a frayed piece of fabric, or an old book, holds memories and stories that I seek to capture. These works reflect my personal connection to these items, turning them into art that resonates with anyone who appreciates the charm of daily life. Each piece serves not only as a reflection of my artistic expression but also as a reminder of the beauty found in the everyday.
Abstract
There’s an exhilaration in the spontaneity of the process, where I’m not confined to guidelines but rather free to express myself entirely. It’s a chaotic harmony, a beautiful mess that reflects the complexity of life.

The subjects

Animal & Plant
Each piece reflects the unique beauty of nature, blending various materials to bring my subjects to life. By combining traditional techniques with modern approaches, They inspire me and provide the joy I find in painting them.

Doodles & Sketches
Whenever I come across some drawing materials, I cannot resist the urge to create doodles and sketches. It is a spontaneous outlet for my creativity, allowing my mind to wander as I put pencil to paper. Even though they may not always result in a masterpiece, the joy of creating something unique is what matters most. It's a simple pleasure that adds a touch of creativity to my day.
Artists often delve into diverse subjects through their unique perspectives, employing a range of media to express their interpretations. Whether it’s the beauty of nature captured in paint, the complexities of urban life conveyed through photography, or the emotions stirred by sculptural installations, each medium offers a distinct avenue for exploration. The interplay between subject matter and artistic technique allows for a rich tapestry of expression that celebrates the diversity of human creativity.
